The top-grade 1-1/8" TO 1" Bronze Reducer (BB5) is composed of bronze, which lasts longer than regular iron items and never rusts. An inboard propeller with a larger bore can be adapted to a smaller diameter shaft using an Anchor Bushing propeller bore reducing bushings. The nylon bushing comes with a brass step key and is suitable for low horsepower applications. It has a 1:16 taper rate and fits a standard SAE propeller shaft taper. For high-horsepower applications, bronze bushing is a better option.
