20 DEGREE RACK BLACK WEDGE KIT (SB27449P) The helm has an extruded profile pinion gear that drives an armored core standard for minimal steering effort by engaging a pre-assembled rack and cable. For vessels traveling over 50 mph or experiencing instability from engine flutter, twin-cable systems are advised. Observe the advice of the engine manufacturer. It is applicable for boats up to 24' Steering wheels up to 16" Single and Dual Engines.
Standard 3/4" tapered shaft with four lock-to-lock turns. Optional wedge kits offer mounting flexibility to fit a 1-1/4" rack. To angle either the SH5210P or SH5230P Rack Helms at a 20° angle, use the 20° Rack Wedge kit (mounts on the dash).
