While your boat is on an inclined launching ramp, trailer winches allow you to draw it onto the trailer. Winches are placed on the trailer tongue on a specific winch stand, on the bow stop support, or the trailer's hitch ball using an adapter plate. In the case of boats, without a boat trailer winch, loading and unloading ships from trailers would be nearly impossible due to the boat's weight.
