The 225 Horsepower NITRO SERIES (70-0225) is a high-quality aluminum cavitation plate anode (SM-25) designed for 225 HP Nitro Series, 200 HP Optimax 1999, and later models. It is installed on the lower units of boats to help them operate better. It functions as a planing surface, allowing your boat on top more quickly. When trimming your motor, it provides you with a better bow response. It keeps water out of your prop and increases the water pressure in the system.
