The 3MTM RolocTM TR Disc Pad improves the performance of Roloc TR and bristles discs by acting as a backup system and a secure attachment for grinding operations. It also saves time by removing the need to align the disc's edges with the disc padthe disc is aligned by the screw, making disc swaps quick and simple. The required level of hardness is determined by the taskchoose a greater density for more aggressive applications and a lower, more flexible density for less aggressive applicationsand the user's work style.
Use any drill, disc sander, right angle grinder, or rotary sander with the same size external thread as these disc pads. Can use Roloc Shank 45102 to mount disc pads with 1/4-20 internal threads to collet chuck tools (not included). The size and stiffness of the disc and disc pad determine the maximum RPM; check product specs for details.
The 3MTM RolocTM TR system was created to enable a fast and secure connection for goods with diameters ranging from 1 to 4 inches. Furthermore, Roloc disc pads are available in various densities or hardness levels, depending on the application's needs. The hardness spans from exceptionally hard to gentle, with the general rule being that the rougher the abrasive, the more complex the disc pad, resulting in longer product life. The disc pad (also known as a backup pad) is attached to a rotary tool and interlocks with the sanding disc or bristle disc. Even while working at high speeds, this basic assembly delivers a secure attachment that is trustworthy. Using a Roloc disc with a Roloc disc pad, you get consistent, high-quality results.
