The 5 Amp ATO/ATC FUSE (2/Pack) (5239-BSS) is a safety device that protects an electrical circuit from overflowing current. A metal wire or strip that melts when too much electricity travels through it is a crucial component of an electrical fuse. It protects the device by interrupting or suspending the current flow. It is a fuse that opens rapidly and is corrosion resistant. It prevents circuits from overloads and short circuits.
