Mercruiser Solenoid by ARCO Marine (SW097) functions when an electrical current is applied to the coil, a magnetic field arises around it, drawing the plunger. This is composed of numerous turns of tightly wrapped copper wire that conducts electrical current, resulting in a powerful magnetic field/flux.
The Mercruiser Solenoid by ARCO Marine (SW097) on the engine has a key function of transmitting battery voltage to start the boat. Contact inside the starter solenoid activates electronically, the circuit opens that pass electrical current from the battery to the starter, revives the engine power ready for a drive. It has an isolated base with white housing that fits Mercruiser.
