The Brown Jam Nut is a size-sided brass nut with double-sided chamfers. This will be used in the fastening of bolt screws and fastening products. The jam nut has six sides used as a second nut that is jammed against another full-size nut or alone as a thin nut. It locks turnbuckles and controls linkages like steering tie rods after adjustments. These types of lock washers and thread-locking fluid are ways to prevent vibration. It can also be used with lock washers when installed as a single nut. The jam nut size refers to its nominal thread diameter.
