An electronic control unit (ECU) is a tiny component inside a vehicle that manages one or more of its electrical systems. It directs how and what to perform for electrical systems. The microprocessor at the heart of an ECU utilizes embedded software.
A device that can independently decide how well an engine is doing is known as an electronic control unit (ECU). It monitors, controls, and modifies the fuel and air injection timing. It meets high performance and low emission requirements based on the readings from several mounted sensors. In petrol engines, the engine ECU control timing of the spark to ignite the fuel. A Crankshaft Position Sensor identifies the location of the engine's internals to turn on the ignition system and injectors at precisely the right moment.
