An ignition coil, also known as a spark coil, is an induction coil that raises the battery's (12 volts) low voltage to a very high voltage (about 50000 volts) to produce a spark within the engine cylinder for fuel combustion. Coils keep boat motors cool and are for the ignition system of vehicles. Similar to the component in your car, the marine ignition coils perform the same job. This vital part converts the battery's energy into the voltages needed to ignite the fuel, which enables your motor to function. This causes the fuel to ignite, allowing your engine to keep running.
