There is a problem with the recoil starter if the starter rope won't pull. The starter rope is a method of starting an internal combustion engine, usually on small machines, such as lawnmowers, small outboard motors, and portable engine generators. It is pulled to engage the flywheel to start the engine, and the rope recoils back into the starter when the rope is released.
