Thrust washers are a type of mechanical hardware component found in assemblies such as appliances, power tools, machines, vehicles, and others. It is frequently placed between a revolving component and a stationary component to ensure the revolving component remains in place. Furthermore, they can withstand axial loads and may prevent component movement along a shaft. Thrust washers are effective in almost all electric motor applications. It is because thrust washers are capable to control the axial displacement forces. Propeller shafts on marine vessels benefit from the thrust washers, which convert the axial thrust of the spinning propeller into a forward or backward motion.
