When two boats collide head-on on the water, the usual method of avoiding collision is for both vessels to pass port to port by changing their course to starboard, the driver's right. Of course, there are many situations in which more advanced communication communicates driving intentions to other vessels. Boats should utilize their horn signals in such circumstances.
A horn, as well as one chrome and one white decorative billet snap-on grill, are included in the Drop-In Hidden Horn V.1 kit. This horn meets the COLREGS and ABYC standard A-23 of the US Coast Guard. For use on vessels under 12m (39') with a decibel rating of 106 and a frequency (Hz) of 44020A.
