Forward Thrust Washer For Vortex Yamaha 60-90 HP (991212) transmits and resolves axial forces in rotating machines to keep components straight along a shaft. Forward Thrust washers are a cost-effective alternative to rolling thrust bearings when forces velocities are moderate. They're in place between a revolving and a stationary component. The rotating part might push up against the thrust washer as it advances sideways because of its location. Thrust washers are a form of lubricious alloys like copper. It allows moving elements to slide across the washer face. The most typical application for thrust washers is in shaft assemblies. Axial pressure will apply to the thrust washer as a force to the shaft assembly. Power takeoffs, transmissions, pumps, and watercraft props use thrust washers.
