Description

A fuel filter is a filter that removes dirt and rust particles from the fuel. They are typically from cartridges that contain filter paper. They may be anywhere in the majority of internal combustion engines. Fuel filters play the best role in today's high-tolerance engine fuel systems. Unfiltered fuel may contain contaminants, such as paint chips and debris pushed into the tank when filling, or rust produced by moisture in a steel tank. Because of the abrasive impact of the particles on the high-precision components used in current injection systems, if these substances are not removed before the fuel enters the system, they can cause fast wear and failure of the fuel pump and injectors.
