The Fuel Gauge (F13818) sends a low-amperage current via the gauge's meter to the ground via a variable-resistance sending device. With variations in pressure and temperature, the sending units' resistance rises or falls. The amount of current permitted to flow through the sender to the ground varies as the sender's resistance varies, and the meter deflects, indicating the fuel level. Fuel Gauge (F13818) can be used for a wide range of temperature conditions.
