The fuel pump diaphragm is an essential part of your engine's fuel lift pump mechanism. The diaphragm not only pulls gasoline from the tank but also keeps engine oil from becoming polluted with diesel fuel and prevents air from entering the system. These pumps are available in several types and specifications, and they may have a significant impact on how your engine burns gasoline and, as a result, how much power it produces. Diaphragm pumps work using a composite membrane that bends up and down over a fuel bowl. As the diaphragm rises, it generates a vacuum that draws gasoline from the fuel tank into the fuel bowl.
