Description

A seal is created between the top end of your engine and the engine casings by base gaskets (118-99069). Before they destroy the engine you spent so much time mending, stop those annoying oil leaks. On the other hand, the base gasket is constructed from a rubber and fiber mixture known as a joint sheet that slices from a universal gasket sheet. While the crank continues to drive the piston up by the same amount, the base gasket essentially shortens the cylinder. The smaller base gasket forces the air/gas mixture into a smaller area, increasing compression. Replaces the Yamaha 65W-11351-10-00
