Proper lubrication helps keep the usability and dependability of your trailer's axle. These caps are small circular metal cover grease caps you see at the very center of a wheel. The purpose of the grease caps will keep the dirt, dust, sand, water, salt, and road grime out of your wheel bearings, which can (and will) destroy bearings. They are also a method of keeping your grease inside your hub cavity, so it should snugly fit onto your Hub. Without it, your wheel bearings mean you wouldn't survive for very long out on the road. To make sure the right fit, you can measure the inner diameter of the outer face of your trailer hub. The Grease Cap, 1.986" OD Drive-In (151200), is a standard Dust Cap measure 1.98 for traditional 5 Lug Trailer hubs. and intended for greasing purposes.
