Volvo's DPS (Dynamic Positioning System) outdrive is meant to assist in maintaining position and providing smooth movement in turbulent water. The unique blade shape and huge active propeller diameter provide ideal performance and fuel economy across the speed range and smooth running, superior grip, and maneuverability. They are more robust and durable than standard die-cast propellers due to squeezing casting and a specific high-strength aluminum alloy. Four coats of paint provide superior resistance to corrosion.
