Prestolite Capacitor Discharge Without Plug by CDI Electronics (116-3301) contains an electrical current and is released through an ignition coil to produce a good spark from the spark plugs in a petrol engine. A capacitor discharge ignition works by flowing an electrical current over a capacitor. This kind of ignition builds up a charge instantly. A CDI ignition works by creating a charge and storing it up before sending it out to the spark plug to ignite the engine. The Prestolite Capacitor Discharge Without Plug by CDI Electronics (116-3301) can overcome the long charging periods connected through high inductance coils employed for IDI (inductive discharge ignition) systems to make the ignition system more suitable for high engine speeds.
