A rotational pump's impeller is a revolving component that transmits energy from the pump's motor to the fluid being pushed by accelerating the fluid outwards from the center of rotation. The impeller is the component that distributes coolant throughout the cooling system. This small, round disc has rotating vanes that help coolant through the cooling circuit and therefore cool the engine. The coolant supply is cut off when this component breaks, causing the engine to overheat. As you know, the health and efficiency of the engine require an optimal temperature. Without it, it could cause severe and irreparable damage.
