Mercury/Mariner and Yamaha outboard engines are supported. The water pump is used to cool Mercury outboards and MerCruiser sterndrive engines. The impeller is the heart of the water pump, and it needs to be inspected and replaced regularly to maintain the engine functioning at its best. Mercury impellers provide boaters and mechanics the assurance that they are using an OEM item. To offer a factory fit and restore function, each impeller is original Mercury or MerCruiser specifications.
Because impellers are damaged by running through silty or sandy water or being driven dry, it's a good idea to have a spare on board in case something goes wrong.
