Outboard motors and stern drives include power trim, which allows the operator to modify the thrust angle by tilting the drive or engine in or out to vary the running angle. A boat performs best when it is parallel to its at-rest waterline. Outboard motors adjust to change the ride and attitude of an engine.
Power Trim Hose for a Mercruiser Sterndrive is for the port side that connects the trim cylinder to the Down Pressure connection. Sierra power trim hose is the short trim hose used on most Mercruiser outdrives from 1983 to supply the up pressure. One end is straight, while the other angles at 45 degrees.
