The coil produces a magnetic field that pulls the plunger when an electrical current passes through it.
It is manufactured specifically for you out of numerous twists of tightly wound copper wire. The transmission of electricity through the wire generates strong magnetic flux. A flat mounting plate fits the Mercruiser and In-Line 6 outboards engine.
