Moly, also known as a molybdenum-filled lubricant, has been around in the market for decades for gear oils and grease. Best for lubricating armature plate pilots and upper driveshaft splines in installing back a gearcase to the midsection.
Moly extreme pressure lube is dark charcoal opaque grease generally impregnated into high-pressure metal surfaces and parts rubbing against each other such as roller bearings for shock loading. Moly lube enhances the lubricity and safeguards metal parts as a surface coating.
