A pressure gauge works by sending a low amperage current through the gauge's meter to the ground via a variable resistance sending unit. The amount of current allowed to flow through the sending units changes as the resistance changes due to changes in pressure, temperature, meter deflects, indicating that the pressure has changed. For more than 60 years, Faria has been producing gauges and instruments in Connecticut.
