The starter motor is an electric motor that turns over or cranks the engine to activate. It consists of a strong DC (Direct Current) electric motor and the starter solenoid attached to the motor. If the starter control terminal gets corroded, or a starter control wire gets loose or disconnected from the terminal causes the starter not to work. The carbon brushes or other parts inside the starter motor can wear down over time, causing the starter motor to stop working.
