On-deck surfaces that are frequently wet or exposed to the marine environment are prepared to tolerate moisture using high-quality putty. Most glazing putty is blended with clay since it is less expensive. Clay and poly resin attract moisture yet have a short lifespan and are prone to problems. Piranha putty by 3M acts as a filler or a skim coat for light application and imperfections. This product is non-staining, easy to sand, and comes in a 21oz tube. For highly detailed tool casts are required, or when lifting dusted latent prints off a rough or round surface, this tool is good to use. It was created to provide a great representation of fine features, the best contrast for microscopic studies, good cast release, and a quick-drying period.
