A rocker switch, like a seesaw, has a button on either end that connects or disconnects an electrical circuit. They are widely used as ON/OFF switches on the principal power sources for electrical devices. Another name for it is a seesaw switch. Rocker switches have fixed contact, moveable contacts, springs, and other mechanical parts that make them work. When the switch is pressed from ON to OFF or vice versa, the spring movement tilts the movable contact to the output contact.
