You're excited to spend the day on the lake in your boat. With the light bouncing off the smooth ripples on the turquoise lake, the weather is ideal. But when you turn the ignition key to the start position and nothing happens (after turning the keys numerous times) you might have a solenoid problem. If you hear a grinding noise, an alarm clock buzzing noise when starting the motor, or not starting at all. It's time to replace the old one. It is easy to replace, remove the starter motor from the main engine, then the cables, and finally the solenoid from the starter motor. Reverse the steps, then reconnect the battery and reinstall the starter; the boat's engine should now start.
