These clips protect the hydraulic system from weight surges while trailering and extend the life of the o-rings, internal seals, and valves. UV rays, gasoline, oil, and other marine chemicals are not a problem. By moving the sterndrive weight from the hydraulic cylinders to the transom bracket, they ease the stress on the hydraulic tilt and trim system. Units can be trimmed to accommodate shorter rams.
