While allowing the driver to swivel and tilt, U-Joint Bellows - BRP (3852857) are rubber "boots" that seal out water surrounding the exhaust, U-joints, and shift cable. These can wear out and need to be well-replaced regularly. Model-specific replacement techniques differ, but being aware of the fundamental stages can enable you to change the bellows on your own. While moving, the drive can trim and turn thanks to their flexibility, but they are susceptible to drying out and cracking owing to the heat, inclement weather, or aging.
