When you start the Outboard engine, the CDI ignition generates a charge that is stored before being passed to the spark plug to be ignited. It supplies energy to the spark plug, which ignites the necessary fuel/air mixture for internal combustion and generates horsepower. This spark ignites the fuel, allowing your engine to continue to function. You may notice a variety of symptoms if your coil fails, including difficulty starting the engine, a damaged or fractured ignition coil, no spark in the spark plug gap, and engine misfires. CDI ELECTRONICS solved the problem of a defective or easily cracked ignition coil and created customer satisfaction standards that are unsurpassed.
