Sierra's 18-2547-9 Water Passage Cover Gasket is well-constructed with precision and marine-grade materials. GLM 34450 and Evinrude/Johnson 322858 are well-designed to be compatible. Sierra products meet or exceed the specifications of the original equipment part they replace. Improper use of Gaskets can quickly damage sensitive components and cause coolant leakage. Water pump gaskets hold the flange pieces that connect the pump to the inlet and outflow pipes. If water moves by a positive displacement mechanism, such as a volute impeller, the sealing pair must ensure coupling between the pump and those ports is tight. Water gaskets should be changed and new ones installed. Sea Solutions' water passage gaskets are of the highest quality and durability.
