The water pump is the high-performance, long-life, severe-duty electric water pump used in the cooling system. When the water pump needs to be replaced, it also needs to replace the water pump kit. The water pump repair kit's purpose is to transfer water from the radiator to the engine to keep it cool. The water pump kit comes with all parts needed to fix any water pump issues, including all gaskets, washers, and seals for a total water pump rebuild. The water pump pushes coolant from the radiator through the coolant system then the cylinder head returns to the pump when it reaches the radiator, where the cycle begins.
