The water pump is a belt-driven device that is attached to the crankshaft. Its job is to keep the engine cool by transferring water from the radiator to the boat's engine. When the engine is turned on, the pump uses centrifugal force to circulate fluid. The fluid is injected into the engine block and cylinder head.
