The XTO is a new class of extreme offshore power and reliability, designed from the ground up to resist the demands of offshore boating. Automotive engine oils will physically rip apart under such pressure. Automotive oil is neither intended with manufactured to produce the moisture-rich, high-rpm, high-load condition that an outboard requires.
