Abrasive loading, edge-shelling, and operator fatigue are three common issues when grinding and polishing aluminum and other soft metals. Cloth Belt is created to overcome these concerns. It has a Y-weight polyester cloth backing that can stand the stresses of working on gates, parting lines, and flashing in tight spaces without edge-shelling. This results in a quick cut and reduces heat build-up in the workpiece, lowering the risk of heat-related problems. Furthermore, because the abrasive keeps colder and sharper for longer, it lasts substantially longer than traditional abrasive belts, lowering operational expenses by reducing the number of belt changes.
