The BEARING- UPPER DRIVE CAP (MERC 18-1179 Sierra Marine is a Tapered Roller Bearing is reduces frictional heat and flange wear. The improved roller end design and flange face polish minimize friction. These tapered bearings improve load distribution along the contact surfaces more than conventional straight raceway profiles. It decreases stress peaks at the roller ends and lessens sensitivity to shaft deflection and misalignment. This bearing assembly replaces OEM: MERCURY MARINE 31-32575A1, 31-32575T1. The BEARING- UPPER DRIVE CAP (MERC 18-1179 by Sierra has premium-quality replacement marine parts with a limited lifetime warranty.
